About

Building things that address problems,
not just about theoretical ones.

I'm Do Duc An, a young Developer and Technical Product Founder in Vietnam.

My work lies at the crossroads of understanding pain point of customers, designing and developing architectures to turn ideas on the papers into reality.

I believe that the best software is a meaningful one that makes people better at something.

Architecting workflow and developing my new startup (coming soon) - understanding and interviewing future customers

Featured Project

Lumina

Phase 1: Failure & Insight

This is my first side project and also my first attempt at building a product to address a pain point.

Initially, it was just a normal weekend project, or even like my “doodle”. However, when I shared it with my online friends and some of my classmates, it turned out to be much more helpful than I had expected.

Then I started thinking about turning it into a product to address people's pain points. However, after a few months, I realized that I had made some serious mistakes.

I focused too much on creating and developing various features without researching the field thoroughly, customers' pain points, having real conversations with customers, thinking it would be helpful.

But no, the reality pulled me out of my illusion. I failed to ship Lumina and it changed my perspective on creating a product for real users. Instead of jumping into the “features' pool”, I will research pain points deeply first, have deep conversations with my future customers, and design the architecture to ship as fast as I can.

This is my accomplishment and one of my most valuable insights. I also hope that if somebody reads this, they can avoid these mistakes and create a meaningful startup.

Phase 2: The Pivot

Not Yet, I'm about pivoting it.

Instead of giving up, I am restructuring the product based on direct customer feedback. By stripping away non-essential features and targeting core pain points, the goal is to build a highly optimized, value-driven version that solves real-world needs from day one.
